While aspiring a path in architectural engineering, Andrew soon found that his passion was instead to design oriental dishes with a modern touch. Following his fathers footsteps, soon commenced his career in hospitality and escalated his way up the industry and start many ventures of his own.
In 2021 he opened what it’s now the one and only JM Oriental. His love for food and culture continues to shine and transmits his passion with his plates, and by combining traditional and contemporary dishes, his goal is to showcase a new interpretation of oriental fine dining to the UK restaurant scene, and eventually throughout the world.

Andrew Hung

Graduated in 1994,  and while aspiring a path in architectural engineering, Andrew Hung soon found that his passion was instead to design oriental dishes with a modern touch.
Commenced his career in hospitality as a front of house, while also helping in Marketing, he was able to escalate his way up the industry and start many ventures of his own.
In 2010 he opened what it’s now the one and only JM Oriental. His love for food and culture continues to shine and transmits his passion with his plates, and by combining traditional and contemporary dishes, his goal is to change the perception of Oriental Cuisine in the UK and throughout the world.

JM Oriental first opened its door in 2021, serving authentic and contemporary Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant delivers an informal and social setting, where the surroundings are vibrant and sophisticated. Our innovative interpretation of Chinese dishes, showcasing the art of Hong Kong dim sum as well as well-known favourites of regional Chinese culinary delights.

The restaurant distinguishes itself by emphasizing the social experience and taking a vibe-driven approach to fine dining. The dining room, lounge and cocktail bar evokes a fun sense of style matched by the elegant ambience and decor.
